From its powerful engines to its aggressive styling, the 2020 GMC Sierra Heavy Duty provides you with everything you need in a pickup truck. Its bold frame provides sturdy support, while its interior provides the latest smart technology you would hope for in a 2020 year model.
True to its name, the 2020 GMC Sierra Heavy Duty packs generous power under its hood. Choose the 6.6-liter Duramax turbo-diesel V8 engine for the ultimate workhorse, which generates 445 horsepower and 910 lb-ft of torque. You can tow up to 35,500 pounds with this engine, making it the most capable heavy-duty pickup truck in its class.
The 2020 model also introduces the all-new Allison® 10-speed automatic transmission. This is the first-ever of its kind offered on a heavy-duty pickup truck.
Innovation for the future
As GMC pushes the boundaries with its innovation, the 2020 Sierra Heavy Duty transforms the heavy-duty pickup truck segment.
“We set new standards for smart capability, bold design, and advanced technologies in the half-ton pickup space with the 2019 Sierra 1500,” said Jaclyn McQuaid, the chief engineer for the Sierra Heavy Duty. “We wanted to do the very same in the heavy duty space, while simultaneously increasing strength and performance. We were determined to make this truck as driven and capable as our customers.”
The 2020 GMC Sierra Heavy Duty will be available late summer 2019. Check out the segment-shifting 2019 GMC Sierra 1500 at Country Chevrolet.
